Effective: 22 August 2026
StatementConvert provides tools and assisted services for converting supported digital bank statement PDFs into spreadsheet formats. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit statementconvert.app, contact us, or use a conversion service.
1. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide, such as your email address, the bank or statement format you ask us to assess, support messages, purchase and entitlement identifiers supplied by our payment provider, and operational information needed to complete a conversion.
We do not need you to send account passwords, online-banking credentials, card details, or PINs. Never provide them to us.
2. Statement files and extracted data
Bank statements may contain highly sensitive personal and financial information. Our processing design uses private object storage with random object identifiers. Original filenames are not used as storage keys.
Source statement files are designed to be deleted after a successful conversion. Generated exports are designed to be deleted after download or expiry. A one-day automatic storage lifecycle is maintained as a final deletion failsafe. Operational job records are designed not to contain customer names, account numbers, balances, transaction descriptions, or raw statement text.
3. Payments
Checkout and payment details are handled by our payment provider. StatementConvert does not store full payment-card numbers. The provider may process identity, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and payment information under its own privacy terms.
4. Technical and usage information
Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request metadata, device or browser information, security events, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the service. We aim to limit logs and avoid placing statement contents in them.
5. How we use information
- To confirm statement compatibility and provide conversion services.
- To provide support, manage purchases, and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We may use service providers for hosting, storage, security, email, analytics, payments, and customer support. They may process information only as needed to provide those services or meet legal requirements. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
7. Retention
We retain contact, purchase, tax, security, and support records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. Temporary statement files and exports follow the shorter deletion approach described above.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send real statements by ordinary email. Wait for support to confirm the approved secure process.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally required.
10. International processing
StatementConvert is operated from the Philippines and uses service providers that may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
11. Children
The service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised effective date on this page.
